The KA1103 is an amazing little radio. It is widely regarded as having reception and clarity equal to radios 2 to 3 times its cost. The 1103 has PLL (phase-locked loop), SSB (single sideband) and dual conversion all in a radio costing less than $80.00.

• PLL separates the frequency you are listening to from background noise increasing clarity, pulling in weaker signals and following station drift.
