Description
Ohsawa pots are covered stoneware casserole dishes designed to be used in your pressure cooker. They are high-fired and lead free. Each pot is individually hand thrown. Ohsawa pots make pressure cooking grains, beans, stews, vegetables, steamed breads and rice so easy and tasty.
Foods in the ohsawa pots cook evenly without scorching. They take the worry out of not being able to easily open your pressure cooker to stir, or check on doneness. Brown rice, as an example, cooks fluffy, sweet and more digestable, yet slightly chewy. With an Ohsawa pot you never have to worry about rice, small grains, bean skins, foam, etc. expanding and clogging the pressure cooker vent.
The ceramic material of the Ohsawa pot is non reactive with food. Unlike metal cookware, which releases metallic ions contaminating, & diminishing taste, aroma & color; foods cooked in Ohsawa Pots provide you superior taste and nutrition.
Thick walled Ohsawa pots transfer heat slowly & evenly with deep radiant, even tempered heat. This radiant, penetrating heat contains a high proportion of far-infrared heat waves, as does the sun. When these rays penetrate food, they transform it into the most delicious you have ever tasted.
The Ohsawa pot is so easy to use. It has a rope handle for ease of moving it in and out of your pressure cooker, and “built in” legs so no rack is necessary in the cooker. These truly attractive pots provide you with the ease of stove to table convenience, while at the same time providing you with the ultimate in flavorful & healthful foods.
