Description
This unique fan operates by solar power from sunrise to sundown. The fan motor works slower during the early morning and late afternoon hours when the sun is lower. During the hottest part of the day, when it is needed the most, as attic temperatures can soar to 150°F, the solar panel’s higher power output increases speed and efficiency to move up to 800 cubic feet of air per minute.
Removing the hot air from the attic before it reaches the interior of your home makes it possible to reduce the workload on cooling and air conditioning equipment by as much as 50% and this is savings to you! A conventional attic fan can add $10.00 per month to your electric bill while the solar powered Fan Attic runs at no cost to you. That is additional savings to you.
Installation is easy as the FanAttic is an all in one unit. Remove it from the box and it is ready for installation – No assembly and no wiring required. Installation consists of mounting the flashing base over a 12 inch diameter hole, cut through the roof sheathing. Its one piece circular flashing collar design virtually eliminates potential roof leakage. Installation can take as little as 30 minutes. It works best in full sunlight, which means that southern exposures on the roof are ideal, and also you will need to avoid installing under overhanging trees or other structures creating shade. It will be most effective if installed as close as possible to the top ridge.
The Fan Attic’s low voltage D.C. motor makes virtually no noise. One Fan-Attic will ventilate approximately 1200 Sq. Ft. of attic space.
I am pleased with the fan-attics performance so far. It is installed in attic and has kept attic temperatures 15-20 degrees cooler. I would like you to order a second one for me. Thanks,
