Description
The Freeplay Mini Lantern is the little brother of the Indigo. It is 25% smaller and weighs only 10.5 oz, yet still packs a lighting punch with its cluster of 4 Nichia LEDs. You can adjust the brightness of the Mini Lantern from brightest to nightlight using its built-in dimmer. In addition to the main LED cluster, the Mini Lantern also has a single LED directional light that can be used as a flashlight or reading lamp.
When fully charged for 8 hours using the included AC adpater, the Mini Lantern will run up to 100 hours on low, or 8 hours bright, or 40 hours with the reading light. The AC has a quick charge design to reach a 90% charge in only 3 hours. As with all Freeplay products, you can also wind the Mini Lantern using the hand crank which turns 74% of your kinetic energy into stored electricity. Each 1 minute of winding gives you 7 minutes on bright, 1 hour on low or 45 minutes with the reading light. An LED charge level indicator tells you the optimal winding speed.
The Mini Lantern’s built-in rechargable battery is user replacable should the need arise. The Mini Lantern’s carry handle doubles as a hook for hanging in a tent or tree as a primary light source, and the sturdy rubber feet allow for placement on uneven surfaces. You can fly with the Mini lantern with no need to worry about fuel making it a great travel companion.
